Can I view original paintings in person before I purchase? 

Yes, if you are local to Wicklow, Louise has a gallery where her original paintings can be viewed.  The Louise Cherry Gallery also displays a collection of Louise’s limited edition prints both unframed and framed for viewing and purchase See ‘Gallery’ section,  

Do you have any original paintings for sale right now? 

Most of Louise’s current original paintings have already sold however Louise is making new work all the time, so watch this site and keep an eye out on social media for news of new collections, all new originals can be viewed in her gallery, or contact Louise directly to discuss.

Do you do commissions? 

Yes, Please contact Louise to discuss. 

What medium do you use? 

Louise paints with oil, acrylic and ink on canvas and uses a variety of standard and unusual tools. A full description of her process can be seen in her artist’s statement in the ‘About’ section. 

Will my original painting come framed? 

All originals can be purchased framed or unframed. The frames offered for sale are simple box frames without glass

Can I hang my original painting without a frame? 

Yes, hanging without a frame is possible and is a personal choice. All  paintings are finished in a protective varnish, which means you can dust them. The framed offered for sale are simple box frames without glass. However if you are planning to hang in a kitchen or bathroom, it is recommend to hang behind glass due to the additional moisture in such rooms.  Glass frames can be purchased in the gallery and they must be collected   We do not sell glass frames on-line

Can I view edition prints in the flesh before I purchase? 

Yes, The Louise Cherry Gallery always has a good selection of framed and unframed prints available to view and purchase.

How are your prints made? 

Louise offers her limited edition prints in 4 different sizes.

The first 3 size options (eg. 50x50cm, 60x60cm and 70x70cm or the equivalent in rectangle) are sold in limited editions of 100. 

The largest print size available 1m x 1m are sold in limited editions of 50.

Prints are made with archival pigment inks, and printed on Hahnermühle fine art fibre based German etching paper. 

Do the prints come framed? 

Prints ordered in the gallery can be ordered framed or unframed.  Framed prints need to be collected from the gallery.

On line print orders are sold unframed, they are shipped rolled in a tube and would need to be taken to your local framers. Paper prints should be framed behind glass - with or without a mount, it is best to give the print room to breath so a border of a few inches is recommended, depending on size of print chosen.

Do you sign your paintings? 

All paintings are hand signed by Louise on the front of the canvas 

Do you sign your prints?  

Yes, all limited edition prints are hand signed by Louise, titled and numbered in edition on the front, in the white inch border. 

Do you ship internationally? 

Yes, we ship to every country in the world! 

How do you ship your paintings/prints? 

All paintings are packed very carefully in walled cardboard boxes with layers of bubble wrap. All the prints are rolled and shipped in extra strong 3mm wall cardboard tubes. 

What if my piece gets lost or damaged? 

If your piece gets lost, we will find it through the delivery tracking system. In the case of damage, the piece should be returned and we offer a replacement or full refund. If you are returning a print, it must be returned in its original packaging. 

What if I change my mind? 

If you are unhappy with your piece or just change your mind, we offer a full refund up to 14 days after receipt, paid only once the package has been retuned safely - customer pays return shipping and it must be returned in its original packaging.
