Kids summer art camps
with artist Louise Cherry
Louise has been teaching art to children and running her summer programme of art camps for over 15 years. Louise likes to teach children proper art techniques with the emphasis on choosing projects that the children can actually do and complete themselves. The principle being that children can take pride knowing they made the work themselves. Louise does of course have a team of experienced helpers on hand to guide and give the little ones a help when needed. Louise teaches proper artist methods using proper artist materials. All material are provided. Projects will include; a variety drawing and painting, including still life, design, perspective, abstract and inspirational techniques as well as a number of crafts including, clay, papier - cache, blind painting, water colours, pastels and book making.
The camps will be for ages 5 - 12 yrs and offer hours of creative imagination and fun. During the week, children will be split in to groups of similar ages and age appropriate art and craft projects will be catered for each group. Siblings and friends can be accommodated together and sibling discounts are offered.
The camps run from Monday to Friday and there are 2 time options, morning 9am - 12 noon or afternoon 12.30 - 3.30
Painting, drawing, sculpture, print making, paper and book making, puppetry, papier-mache, tie dying & much more
Students should wear old clothes, suitable for art making
Bring a snack, drink & pack lunch each day.
Sun hat and sun cream already applied before arrival please

Camps are 5 mornings 9am – 12pm OR 5 afternoons 12.30-15.30
Costs €120 per week.

Children need to be prepared for all weather, there will be outdoor activities too. Dressed for making art and bring a packed snack, lunch and drink. Sun cream (please apply before arriving ) and sun hats advisable !
